Facilities

The Merrywalks Centre serves as Stroud's principal covered shopping and leisure complex. Positioned conveniently adjacent to King Street, one of Stroud's main retail thoroughfares, the scheme incorporates a variety of facilities for the benefit of customers, tenants and staff as follows:

Multi-storey Car Park

The Centre benefits from a multi-storey car park providing over 200 parking spaces incorporating disability parking. Access to the car park is gained via Bath Street.

Bus Stops

The main bus stop hub serving the regions bus routes is conveniently located on the A46 (Merrywalks) opposite to the Apollo Cinema.

Taxis

A taxi rank is located within walking distance of the western end of King Street, on the corner of Rowcroft and George Street.

Lifts

The centre benefits from 2, fifteen person passenger lifts which provide access between the various levels of the scheme. In addition a goods lift is also provided for the benefit of the traders to circulate deliveries from the main load area to their units. A disabled platform lift is also provided on Car Park Level 6 to provide access to the lift lobby level and entrance to Stroud Bowl.

Toilets

Public toilets are located on the lower level of the Centre, close to the Customer Services Office. There are 3 male toilets and 3 female, together with disabled facilities which operate The National Key Scheme (RADAR) which offers independent access to disabled people to around 4,000 locked public toilets around the country.

Cashpoint

Santander Bank provides and operates a cash point machine which is located on Bath Street.

Centre Management Office

The centre management suite is accessed via Bath Street at first floor level above O2. Here you will find the team who ensure the Centre runs smoothly. They are always on hand to answer your queries, complaints or concerns. They can give you information about the Centre, issue Radar Keys for using the disabled toilets and if you have any enquiries about lost property they will be happy to help.
